in a culture like ours, long accustomed to splitting and dividing

evolved his theories at about the time of the most striking work with Planaria,
such as killing the educated worms, grinding them up, and feeding them to the
dumb worms, which immediately became smarter.
mcluhan's theories can not be separated entirely from the implications of worm
culture.
